MAD TEA PARTY

Michael was introduced to Mad Tea Party at a Brooklyn brunch extravaganza with friends Samatha Parton, Jolie Holland, Laura Freeman and Sarah Alden, and they entered the film through Michael’s footage of their live and wild “Indian War Whoop.” An Asheville based band, composed of members Ami Worthen, Jason Krekel, Lora Pendleton and Sean Foley at the time of filming, they create an atmosphere that’s hard to hold still and sit tight through, so dancy is their sound. In the words of Michael, no wonder they’re so good – they’re from North Carolina!

A duo of Worthen and Krekel these days, they are found now as The Mad Tea.
